Best gaming PC for Assetto Corsa EVO (2026)

For Assetto Corsa EVO, we'd build the CREATE Racing Simulator PC at £3,757 (RTX 5070 Ti 16GB) for high-refresh 1080p, up to the CREATE LE MANS at £9,497 with RTX 5090 32GB for 4K with everything on. Prefer to build it yourself? The component tiers are further down, where RTX 5050 8GB is the sensible floor.

Prices from Create PCs, the UK builder we run, and include VAT. They're the price shown on arrival, not a teaser, but components get repriced, so treat them as current rather than fixed. Custom-built machines start around £2,400; below that a self-build is usually the better answer, and we say so on our budget guides.

Building it yourself: the four tiers for Assetto Corsa EVO

Custom-built machines start around £2,400. Below that, a self-build is the better answer, so here are the component tiers we'd put together at each level, no assembly service, but far more performance per pound.

Budget

1080p · 60fps

CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 7600
GPU
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB
RAM
16 GB
Storage
1TB NVMe SSD

1080p at 60fps on medium to high, single screen. Kunos publish an unusually high floor for this one: the minimum spec asks for an i7 8700K and 16GB, and it states outright that an SSD is required, which is rare enough to be worth repeating. Treat the published figures as describing a dry race on a clear day, because rain is where this build will struggle first. Budget 100GB of drive space.

Mid-tier

1440p · 100fps

CPU
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
GPU
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
RAM
32 GB
Storage
2TB NVMe SSD

1440p at 100fps on high, on one screen. Note the target: 100 rather than the 144 we would quote for F1 25, and that gap is the honest measure of how much more work EVO does. The 16GB card is what makes a wet race comfortable, since spray and reflections are the single biggest hit to frame rate in this game, and 32GB of system memory keeps replays and a full grid from crowding it.

High-end

1440p · 144fps

CPU
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
RAM
32 GB
Storage
2TB NVMe SSD

The tier we would actually buy for EVO, and the one to pick for triple screens or VR. Kunos list SteamVR, Oculus and OpenXR support, a headset roughly doubles the rendering load, and update 0.8 reworked VR substantially. The 9800X3D earns its place on full grids, where the number of cars being simulated is a processor cost rather than a rendering one, while the card handles the weather.

Enthusiast

4K · 120fps

CPU
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
GPU
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 32GB
RAM
64 GB
Storage
4TB NVMe SSD

4K or triple 1440p with settings maxed. The caveat matters more here than anywhere else on this page: EVO has been in early access since January 2025 and was still on update 0.9 in August 2026, so treat any specific frame rate as a snapshot. The free-roam open world Kunos have promised has not shipped yet either, and an open map is usually heavier than a circuit, so headroom you cannot use today may well be spent later. Easiest to justify if the same machine also runs iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate or ACC on a wide rig.

What Assetto Corsa EVO actually demands from your PC

Steam's recommended spec for Assetto Corsa EVO is RTX 2070, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Intel Arc A750 with 16GB RAM and a Intel i5 10500 / AMD 2600X. That spec was written for the 505 Games team's internal "minimum acceptable" target, not for a buyer in 2026 planning to keep this PC for the next four years.

What makes Assetto Corsa EVO more demanding than its spec sheet suggests: consistent frame times for triple-screen or VR. We've factored this into the tier picks above.

GPU-bound title: Framerate scales directly with GPU power. If you have a fixed budget, prioritise the graphics card and accept a mid-range CPU.

What you can skip vs what matters

  • Worth spending on: GPU first, then a fast NVMe SSD (most modern games benefit from sub-3000MB/s sustained reads), then RAM at the tier amount.
  • Worth skipping at this budget: RGB lighting, exotic cooling, brand-name PSUs above 850W (unless you're building enthusiast tier), and motherboards with more than 4 M.2 slots.
  • Don't compromise on: The PSU. A reliable 750W gold-rated unit will outlast two GPU upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

What's the minimum gaming PC for Assetto Corsa EVO?
AMD Ryzen 5 7600 paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB and 16GB of RAM hits 1080p/60 on high settings.
Is Assetto Corsa EVO CPU-heavy or GPU-heavy?
Assetto Corsa EVO is primarily GPU-bound. Prioritise the graphics card; a mid-range CPU like the Ryzen 5 7600 will keep up at 1080p/60.
Do I need ray tracing for Assetto Corsa EVO?
Assetto Corsa EVO does not require ray tracing. Any current-generation GPU will deliver the intended visual experience.
How much RAM do I need?
For Assetto Corsa EVO, 32GB is the sensible answer in 2026. 16GB still works for the budget tier but limits future-proofing.
